Description

The AAA DWD2536 is a certified OEM replacement horizontal triplex plunger pump rated at 3,600 PSI and 2.5 GPM, built for direct-drive gas-powered pressure washers with a 3/4" hollow shaft and SAE flange bolt pattern. It features a fully anodized die-cast aluminum crankcase, ceramic plungers, stainless steel check valves, and a built-in downstream chemical injector.

Features
  • Advanced Check Valves with Built-In Chemical Injector - Advanced check valves resist corrosion from prolonged exposure to water and detergents; the integrated downstream chemical injector allows direct soap application without additional hardware.
  • Fully Adjustable Unloader with Dual Oversized Ball Bearings - Ergonomic control handle allows on-the-fly pressure regulation; dual oversized radial ball bearings reduce friction and extend pump life under sustained load.
  • Oil Sight Glass with Thermal Relief Protection - Sight glass provides immediate oil level and contamination visibility without a dipstick; thermal relief valve protects internal components from heat damage during extended run times.
Fits These Engines
Honda GX390 Honda GX270 Briggs & Stratton CR950 Briggs & Stratton XR Series Briggs & Stratton Vanguard Series Briggs & Stratton 1150 Series CRX340 CRX420 Kohler ECH630

This part is designed to work with the engine models listed above. Engine compatibility is based on shaft size, bolt pattern, and mounting orientation.

Common Issues & Solutions
Why has the oil inside my pump's rear window turned completely white and milky looking?
Why This Happens

The DWD2536 uses ceramic-coated plungers with a dual water packing stack. If the engine runs with the trigger released for more than 2 minutes, heat builds inside the brass head and degrades the rubber packings. Once the seals fail, water bypasses the plungers, enters the crankcase, and mixes with the oil — damaging the internal bearings.

Solution

Drain the oil and remove the manifold. Inspect the oil seals for scoring and other damages. If damage present, replace the seals and refill with oil.

Why does the starter cord feel completely locked up when I try to start the engine?
Why This Happens

The pump uses an integrated unloader with a built-in easy-start circuit that vents pressure during startup, allowing the engine to turn over without fighting full load. If the unloader piston seizes from dried detergent or mineral deposits, the bypass circuit fails and the pump attempts to build full 3600 PSI on the first pull—immediately locking the engine.

Solution

Remove and inspect the unloader for signs of corrosion or damage. Clean with steel wool and penetrating oil and reinstall. If issue persists, a replacement may need to be purchased.
